The drive coming down 395 into the Carson valley.

Carson City is named after Kit Carson. It is the State Capitol of Nevada.

This used to be a 2-lane road all the way through town.

Last year the State rerouted 395 around Caron City but expanded Carson St. - the main

road that runs through the city. The result is a much easier drive and less traffic downtown.

An enormous new hospital was built last year and can be seen just over the top of the retaining wall on the right.
