Virginia City is located in Storey County, Nevada.

At the very highest point in the cemetary is burried Captain Edwin Farris Storey,

for which Storey County is named. Captain Storey was a Mason and was killed

when the U.S. Army fought native Americans in the Pyramid Lake Indian War.
